Bengaluru CEO opens out about his battle to evict a tenant who has defaulted

Managing tenants can be a hassle and Capital Mind’s founder and CEO, Deepak Shenoy, got to experience it firsthand.

Capital Mind’s founder and CEO, Deepak Shenoy, revealed that he and his family had a tough time evicting a tenant who had defaulted on their rent. They live in Bengaluru. In order to have the tenant evicted from their property, his mother had to make court appearances every two months for a total of two years, he said.

After hearing about an old man’s success in evicting delinquent renters following a four-year battle, Shenoy decided to speak up about her own situation. “I personally went through this. Mom went to the courthouse for two years, once every two months, to evict a tenant who refused to pay rent after the first month,” he wrote on Twitter. He also claimed that his goons had done the same thing in a lawsuit he filed. And I’d done it with others before.

It took the family two years to secure a court order, and then another three months to evict the renter, according to the Capital Mind boss. “The fraud renter left on the last day before the cops were brought in,” according to him.

According to Deepak Shenoy, his mother sold all of their property, save for one, following the occurrence. Mom sold all her real estate after that and is now a resident of her one and only residence. We’ve even had goondas colonize some of our land before we established it. The real estate market is not our cup of tea. Our company has achieved more financial success in markets with significantly less effort.

While Mr. Deepak Shenoy had the resources to fight an expensive court case, not everyone is the same. If you are a property owner and have put it on rent, remember to keep it secure. At Property Watcher, we help you keep your property secure without a hassle through our tenant management services.
