As part of their efforts to solve cold cases, the criminal branch unit started looking for Sulire, the prime suspect. Flats offered by the accused were offered at prices lower than the market average, which enticed clients. Around 150 people were shown two or three apartments, and they went so far as to finalize the sales contracts. It became clear from the research that certain apartments were sold to more than one customer.

In an effort to win over buyers, the accused threatened to pay interest on their deposits in the event that ownership of the apartments was delayed. The builders of the apartment buildings may have utilized false paperwork, according to the authorities. On Thursday, a team from the police force apprehended Sulire in the southern city of Bengaluru after identifying him as the key suspect. Sulire operated out of his apartment in Bengaluru. His remand in police custody is set for November 9. He faces charges of forgery and cheating. He has collaborators, and the cops are looking for them.
